Every culture has its traditions and foreign people feel sometimes really attracted to things that are related to something that isn’t theirs. For instance, the African wedding dress, the traditional one, looks very different from others and there are some people that feel inspired by the motifs used and the format. So let’s see some models of such dresses and maybe you get your source of inspiration from here.
The African wedding dress has three basic elements that can differ if the bride chooses to wear something else. For instance, there’s that special cap in a prolonged form, the corset and the skirt.
The cap goes really great on the head and it’s made from the same fabric as the rest of the dress. The corset has sweetheart neckline and the skirt is mermaid style, being really tight on the body and then loose and ending with a train. Let’s mention that in the front side of the dress and on the cap too there are some traditional elements placed, in lines and in different colors. Indeed, it’s an interesting model to admire.

The next gown we want to present you has at the basis the same elements: the cap on the head, the corset (in this case it’s a blouse) and a skirt. All the elements mentioned previously are made from the same type of fabric and let’s mention that together create an interesting visual effect. The blouse has trapeze shape with ruffled details on the short sleeves, also in the lower side of it there are some great looking plisses, the skirt is another element that is really simple and feels really loose on the body. All these elements create an amazing visual effect and it’s worth wearing them.

Another African wedding gown is this one and we’re sure that you want to find out about it. it has the same cap with a golden detail on the middle front side, there’s the corset too and the skirt. Again, all these elements are made from the same type of fabric. The corset has a sweetheart neckline and it’s strapless, the skirt isn’t that tight, in fact is pencil type when it comes to the shape and in the back side of the dress, over it there’s the long train which is made again from the same type of fabric.

Last but not least there’s a simple model of wedding gown, which is African too. This time the corset and the skirt unite together into forming a simple and long dress. The cap isn’t absent from the bride’s head and let’s not forget that the dress ends with a train in the back. The upper side of the dress has a sweetheart neckline and in the rest, the dress is loose on the body and it feels really pleasant. The dress is strapless and it’s a simple model, similar to the initial models of African wedding dresses.

As you can see the main point when it comes to African wedding gowns is the cap, which is a key element. Of course, if you’re not from this culture you don’t have to wear this element in your wedding day, but you can apply for some of their motifs used and put a personal touch in everything you do.
